Hello Light,
I almost didn't write to you today. Not because I was too busy or something, but because I had pent up frustration from the days prior to today. School resumed and all my productivity systems and what not had not prepared for what was about to hit me.
Anyway, how are you? How are you holding up in these times? This letter is a rather vulnerable one, so I'll love it if you could send a reply when you have the chance.
Yes, my week wasn't the best. School started again for the 100th time and this time, it was a Need for Speed game I was playing. Everything was happening to fast around me and I had to show up. For my academics, my spiritual life, my business, my personal development projects and also the people I have been sent to. I cried a few times, mostly because of a movie, but I also shed tears because of the frustration.
My room was something else to behold and i wasn't even able to eat well because I was always running to do one thing or the other. I was a shadow of myself
But I'm better now. I didn't even expect to get back up this early, but I spoke to one of my mentors and his words did the trick. I picked myself back up and I am stronger and brighter for it!
Shining your light won't always come easy. Infact, shining is not easy at all. By shining your light, you are doing all you can to come out of the comfort zone which your body (the flesh) thinks is the best place to be. This body would fight you. You know there are things that you have to get done, but your body will want you to procrastinate. Why? Just because it can.
This does not mean that you shouldn't listen to your body. Sometimes, you need to step back, take an inward look at yourself, sit with how you are feeling in the moment and process it. Then you know what emotions, feelings or pent up frustrations might pose a problem in the near future and deal with it.
You don't have to be a superman or superwoman all the time. Sometimes, you need to step back to reset, recharge and restrategise. This way, you are powered up for the next phase. You are shining brightly for the world to see your good works and glorify God!
Feel free to share and reply to my letters. I would really love to hear from you. Till then, Stay Lit 💜
Dunmomi.
